A message from our team

The deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor are the most recent in a long line of injustices committed against the black community. Let us have no doubt that racism exists. Let us have also have no doubt that racism is not exclusive to law enforcement, but it is a systemic issue.

Racism must end.

Every single one of our lives have been profoundly shaped by people of color and the mighty rainbow of cultures. Let us not forget about the contributions and sacrifices of the Tuskegee Airman, or the Navajo Code Talkers of World War II.  Let us not forget about Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson and Christine Darden, four black women who helped NASA get to space. And the many more change makers. All of them faced racism. Yet all persisted to help to define our country. Imagine what they could have accomplished if those barriers had never existed.

Racism must end.

We are urging our team to use this pivotal moment in our country’s history to reflect on the issue of racism and their own participation in it – good or bad.  We are urging our team to have open dialog with black, indigenous and people of color – to hear firsthand what they have experienced.  

Change can only happened when the desire to improve meets the will to do it.
