Tips & Tricks in the Times of COVID-19

In a matter of weeks, our lives have been altered by COVID-19. What started as a slow, mild concern quickly became a Global Pandemic, shutting down business, travel, and lives. For the magical world of nonprofit, that means vital, revenue generating events postponed or even canceled entirely.

Direct service organizations have had to reshape how they provide services, tailoring safety measure, while increasing said services to the influx of people seeking help. All while taking huge revenue hits.

So how can we help?

1. Transform your auction to an online or mobile bidding auction. Sign-up here to join us on April 16th for the Online & Mobile Bidding training. As always, it’s free. And our Help Desk extraordinaire and event expert, Dustin, is hosting!

2. Run a campaign to make up the difference. Donors may be harder to reach now that everyone’s hiding out at home, but there is no better time to ask for help than when you need it most. Check out our campaign Help Docs to get started.

3. Connect with your local foundations and associations. Don’t reinvent the wheel! See what local funds to support nonprofits impact by COVID-19 are available in your area. Their might be emergency funds from your local community foundation available to help coast you through these trying times.

4. Battle the tech headaches of working from home. Don’t cave into a lame routine that lowers productivity. Seek solutions for your new lifestyle. We shared some of our favorite resources below and the New York Times also published a great article on working from home.
